"I am Aeora. I sing, write and produce pop/electronic music in Melbourne - mostly about my life and anything that I feel I need to get out into the universe.

I was planning on playing a fair few shows around my releases this year but definitely had to rethink those plans when the restrictions came into place. But I think it was quite easy for me to adapt - I was still able to release my first single 'Give It', my next single ‘Breathe’ is still going ahead in the next few months, and I was still able to make a music video for it. My partner and I actually ended up filming it on my iPhone during isolation and to be quite honest, it’s better than I could have imagined! I think as humans, we know we’re adaptable - It’s one of our greatest strengths for survival. For me, I’ve just gone with it and actually have done quite a lot with the time I’ve had. My work is mostly writing and preparing music for upcoming releases and not yet focused on touring and all that, so isolation has been really great for this phase.

I guess besides from all my normal music-making and other music-related content, there will be a lot more trips outdoors, as well as having more intimate dinner/house parties with friends. I’ve been doing a lot of at-home yoga, but am really missing yoga classes, so I’m hoping that will be coming back soon as the restrictions ease up. I've also been getting more into Tarot - and my readings have been guiding me a lot during this time.

Some of us have lost our jobs, some of us are busier than ever, some of us have struggled and some of us have thrived. I do believe in the power of perspective, so as hard as it can be to find that positive outlook, do try to find it. We’re all here for a reason and we all have a purpose - the universe knows that, but sometimes we can forget. Live through your heart, and you will always find your way. We live through seasons and constant change, so just remember that this season will pass."
