"Hey I’m Miri! I’m a Aus-music loving, bass learning local gig enthusiast from Melbourne!

The COVID-19 unfortunately affected my job quite massively where I needed to stand down from my role as A&R for a publicist company. This virus has had a huge impact on the music industry and it’s been sad to see a lot of close friends also lose their jobs within this industry but hey, there’s always a positive light to the situation and it means I can now continue to grow in the music industry and aim even more higher with my career!

Not having access to live music has been really difficult (as I live and breathe it) but for my own personal mental health I’ve been doing yoga and meditation daily, exercise regularly, been doing a bunch of art at home and doing multiple zoom calls with friends and family weekly. Im trying super hard to keep a positive mindset and outlook on life, so the meditation has been an incredible help! I’m also learning bass so that has been a good past time as well.

It’s ok to have those days where you don’t want to get out of bed and you just want to drink endless amounts of tea in bed binge watching tv series, and that is OK!

I’m a mornings person so I wake up at 5:30am each day, go for a hour long walk or run (exercise really helps my mental health), have a good nutritious brekkie and write out things I want to get done for the day. They can be as simple as making my bed, remembering to eat lunch, writing in my journal, meal prep for the week etc. I get bored super easily so having a list of things for the day for me to tick off, helps keep my mind busy and I feel like I’m much more productive.

Also listening to music is a BIG thing!! I’ve discovered so much new music and artists while in iso at home, and it’s just the best feeling!

Just keep your mind active, happy and healthy and you’ll get through this super weird~ difficult time. We are all in this together!!"
